Delivery!

Ok so this is a really bad picture. I don't have a scanner, so I took a picture of this picture. Anyways for the last month I have been working in OB/GYN. It was a lot of hours and I did not think I would survive, but it was a great experience. So this is a picture of me holding one of the babies I delivered. Can you believe they let me deliver a baby! It was so exciting, (don't worry there were two doctors standing right beside me), but I was the one at the foot of the bed coaching the mom on breathing and pushing. I was so nervous I was going to drop the baby, but I didn't and everything turned out fine. Thanks Mike for helping me so much this last month, he was so good to cook, clean, and do the laundry so that when I got home we could spend time togther, what a great husband!

Aaron and Angela's Wedding

I think we had the most EFFICIENT road trip this past weekend. I'll explain why. We started our trip out by picking Kara up from her night shift rotation in Detroit at 8 am and headed down to Asheville, North Carolina. So as you can probably guess--I drove while Kara slept the next 10 hours. On the way down we were able to meet up with my little brother, Brad, who had just flown into Lexington, Kentucky for the day and we happened to be at the same exit at the same time. So we stopped and had a healthy meal at Arby's (Curly Fries are fantastic!) with Bradley. We arrived in Asheville and enjoyed the wedding festivities. On Friday night while in Asheville my sister was 2 hours away visiting her boyfriend (whom we had never met) and he actually proposed to her that night. So--we were able to meet with the two along with their friend on Saturday in betweeen the wedding events. So by EFFICIENT I mean seeing the most amount of friends /family in the shortest amount of time (2 days).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!

Yea! In one hour and 10 minutes it will be my little sister Joni's Birthday! She is turning the big 21! She is my only sister (and only sibling), and what a great sister she is. I miss her so much, I wish we lived closer! I am so grateful for cell phones that allow us to talk almost daily. Joni, Mike and I wish we could be there for your birthday, hope you have a great day! We love you and can't wait for you to come and visit in August!

Relay for Life

Angie Dewey and her husband (friends in our ward) are Awesome! They put together a team for Relay for Life. They were kind enough to let us be apart of it. We ran from 11:00pm to midnight. We did 6 miles during that time, not a world record, but a personal best for us!

Mom's Visit!!!

On Sunday we walked around the Arboretum and enjoyed the wonderful weather and scenery
It is always so fun when my mom comes to visit. This is a perfect picture to show off her personality--always laughing and ready to have a good time

Karen and Kara are impersonating beavers??? Too much diet coke for Karen and too much junk bar for Kara.

My Mom and I are looking good in our vests--getting ready to brave the violent rapids of the Huron River. It was so fun having my Mom in town. I am sad she is gone, I wish we lived closer. My Mom is the coolest and I am so glad she got to come and spend the weekend with us! (I can't wait for the next trip at the end of August!)

Saturday Mornings

For the past 2 months, Saturday mornings, Mike and I have ridden our bikes somewhere to eat breakfast. We usually go to Panera, but last Saturday we rode to Kerrytown and had breakfast at Zingerman's. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

Ok so this is a little late, but I want to do one of those books and I want this to be in here. Anyways, it was our 4 year anniversary May 15! I can't believe we have been married for four years! Being married is great becuase to me, I have the best husband in the world! Mike is so good to me, I love him so much and I am so thankful for him. We had a great night. We went to this cute little resturant in Chelsea, MI called The Common Grill. It is really good and it has the best bread I have ever tasted! Then we spent the rest of the night hanging out with each other, this was a nice treat since it was a school night and most school nights we are both studying. Our whole married life we have been in school, I am done in 1 year so hopefully on our 5th anniversary we will have added to the family or be close to doing so!
