Dad we love you! Last weekend my Dad came in town for a visit! We had so much fun. We went out to eat, showed him around Ann Arbor, took him to the Henry Ford Museum, ect...The only complaint was that he left to soon. Dad you are great and we enjoyed every minute you were here, come again soon!

I am not trying to avoid the photograher, I think I was a little overwhelmed when my friend took the picture. Let me just say I am grateful for all I have. Last week my class went to a school in downtown Detroit to do a health fair. There were bars on the windows, barwire on the fences, and it was so loud and hot in the school. The area the school was in was definitely not Provo, UT. My heart went out to these kids. Despite these things, the kids seemed happy. The health fair went well and we had a really good time teaching the kids about Diabetes (our health fair topic).

The Mongrol!

This is the Mongrol--Kara's nickname when she is doing her write ups for PA school. She goes upstairs in our apartment for 3 days and and as you can see, spreads all of her papers out on the ping pong table and just lets it flow. She rarely leaves her "den," and I don't think she has eaten in days. By the time it is all done she leaves her cage with a 30-40 page paper and bed sores. She only has one more of these write ups to do and hopefully never again will the "Mongrol" return.

Mike and I made Valentines Day cookies a couple of weeks ago. We wish you all were here to eat them with us!
